Guadalmina South Course

Play a round or two on one of the most important courses in paving the way to making the Costa del Sol the golfing paradise that it is today.

Javier Arana designed the first 9 holes of the Guadalmina South Course in 1959 making it the second golf course on the whole Costa del Sol. The other nine were added 4 years later.

This charming piece of golf history was remodeled in 2002 and now consists of long narrow lush fairways lined with pine and jacaranda trees and with some of the greens right beside the sparkling Mediterranean Sea and its sandy beach. There are numerous bunkers and the most challenging of the water hazards can be found on the 13th hole. After playing a round here the famous golf architect Henry Cotton named the 7th Hole Tipperary. When you get there, you´ll soon see why.

In 2008 King Juan Carlos awarded this fantastic club the name Real Club (Royal Club) of Guadalmine. Amongst everything that can be found here for your comfort such as the clubhouse with bar and restaurant there is also a beautiful swimming pool idyllically set with lawn and trees all around as well as a tennis and a paddle court and of course the beautiful beach right alongside the course.
