Golf Club de Alcanada
The Mediterranean golf experience
The impressive Club de Golf Alcanada 18-hole course, designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., was opened in 2003 and since then the course has been remarkably improved following major reforms implemented in the winter of 2019. Alcanada is located in the north of the Mediterranean island of Mallorca directly by the sea, and its 6499 meters naturally fits into the typical Majorcan landscape. In November 2019, the Alcanada Golf Club hosted the grand final of the European Challenge Tour, with Italy's Francesco Laporta winning.
The golf course is located 60 km north of Palma on terrain that slopes gently to the beach and is covered with pine trees, olive trees and holm oaks. From the golf course you have a wonderful view of the island of Alcanada, its lighthouse in the foreground and the mountains of the Sierra de Levante in the background. The club features a stunning 18-hole round designed by legendary architects Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Jr. It is a difficult job that requires a good handicap.
Alcanada is already recognized as one of the most beautiful courses in Spain and Europe by a number of well-known golf magazines and golf guides - and in 2012 was named the best course in Europe for the fourth year in a row by the leading German magazine Golf Journal.
