Powerful, moody, and breathtaking - PGA Golf de Catalunya is a special place. It was a dream for almost a decade before finally realising its massive potential in the spring of 1999. It´s a very beautiful and difficult course, where the stars of the round, are the trees and the numerous big lakes. It's a long course suitable for big hitters, though accuracy is also essential from the tee as the greens are surrounded by water.
No one will come here and think the course is a pushover. No one will go away never wanting to return. Each hole is etched on to the memory, most held in the grasp of the forest and some taunted by water. Rarely for such a rollercoaster of a course can there be such an absence of uphill holes. Only one drive truly climbs the clever dog-leg 6th, but to balance that, nine tee shots fire downhill. A sense of freedom exists but tempered by the danger of the encroaching trees, subtle and strategic bunkers and the lakes that come into play on seven devilish holes.
At the end of the excitement comes the stunning clubhouse. There you can sit back on a luxurious sofa and enjoy the well deserved refreshment. There´s also a first class bistro and of course an excellent pro shop with professional staff to attend to all your needs.
